Why I Ride ...
I have always loved to ride. Since i was a little kid i would go out on long rides and come back hours later. I think the combined sense of adventure, speed, distance and the ability to take in all the sights around you made riding a really enjoyable experience for me. When I first participated in the PMC in 1989, the ride was small but expertly run. A return trip in 1991 was equally enjoyable. After a 13 year hiatus I recommitted to the PMC in 2005 and am now looking forward to my 19th PMC. I have learned through firsthand experience all the miracles that have been made possible by the $750million raised to date by the PMC and I am committed to continuing to help any way I can. I am also so proud of that fact that the PMC has become a tradition in my family and with my close friends. My sons Patrick and Mike have ridden with me over 10 times. Our GRB cyclists team continues to grow, including two of my closest friends plus colleagues from Deloitte. I truly appreciate all of your support. It keeps me pedaling through all those miles of training and the ride itself.
