This time it's to say "thank you"
I did my first PMC ride in 2023 - 85 miles from Wellesley to Bourne. I did it to support individuals who are battling, or who have battled, cancer and their friends, family and loved ones. I picked the PMC because 100% of donations go directly to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and its Jimmy Fund.
I did my second ride (85 miles from Wellesley to Bourne again) and volunteered at Mass Maritime in 2024. Last year was personal to support Dana-Farber after seeing first-hand the commitment, care and compassion they provide every patient and their family.
This year I will be doing Day 1 and Day 2 (162 miles from Wellesley to Provincetown) to continue to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the expert cancer care and groundbreaking treatments for adult and pediatric patients it provides.
For those who have not heard of it before, the Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research and the Jimmy Fund.
Wish me luck and thank you for your support!
