Last year I did my first PMC ride. I did it to support individuals who are battling, or who have battled, cancer and their friends, family and loved ones. I picked the PMC because 100% of donations go directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

For those who have not heard of it before, the Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research and the Jimmy Fund.

This year I am doing the ride to support Dana-Farber after seeing the commitment, care and compassion they provide every patient and their family. I will be doing Day 1 again - 85 miles from Wellesley to Bourne.
