Why I Ride ...
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. Last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
My 17th ride is particularly special because I will be riding alongside my son, Stu! The PMC is poised to pass the 0ne Billion Dollar mark and we are really excited to be a part of such a feat!! Personally, I ride for family and friends who have battled this horrendous illness and for The Jared Branfman Sunflowers for Life Fund for Pediatric Brain and Spinal Tumor Research. These pediatric cancers are among the rarest and most challenging cancers facing the medical community and the children afflicted by them. Since 2005, this fund has raised over 6.8 million dollars. The suppport that the Sunflowers for Life Fund has generated has been a part of realizing many advancements in the understanding of these cancers and has directly contributed to the implementation of targeted therapies, among other treatments. And there is MUCH more work to be done.
I am so grateful for all the years of support!! We will keep at it until cancer is a thing of the past.
