Why I Ride...
I am absolutely honored to participate in the 2025 Pan-Mass Challenge, an incredibly meaningful bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Yes, in the country!
Since its founding in 1980, PMC riders like me have raised more than $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the hospital where I received life-saving treatment for ovarian cancer in 2017. The funds I raise this year will support the innovative work of my medical oncologist & Director of Women's cancers at Dana Farber, Dr. Ursula Matulonis.
This PMC is particularly meaningful as I ride in honor of Lauren Corduck, Judy McLeavey, and the loved ones of all my supporters. If you have a loved one currently fighting cancer or want me to ride in honor of someone you have lost, please send me their name and I will add it to the top tube of my bike. It's a place I'll look many times for inspiration as I travel the 163 miles between the Wellesley start line and the Provincetown finish line.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber. Your donation has a real impact. Thank you for your support!
With gratitude,
Julie
