I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
As many of you know, we've had the challenge of battling cancer in our own family. Kate was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer four years and passed away peacerfully on April 15th, 2025. Thanks to the care of an amazing team of doctors and nurses she was able to lead a mostly normal life for almost all of the time she was sick. Her survival was unusally long for this disease, and largely due to breakthrough drugs that have been devloped by studies at Dana Farber, Memorial Sloan Kettering, John's Hopkins and other cancer research hospitals. As you know, critical funding for these institutions is now in question. I hope you will consider helping Dana Farber keep up this important fight, and hopefully, one day there will be an early diagnosis breakthrough, or perhaps, even a cure for this deadly disease.
I am honored to have shared this journey with Kate. She was so strong. Fighting every day through the challenges confronting her with such a joyous outlook on her life. Please back my ride with whatever donation you can and together we will help beat this terrible disease. Last year many of you help me raise over $20,000 to support Dana Farber, and every dollar went directly to cancer research. I hope you will join my ride again. Love, John
