A great majority of us have been affected by cancer in one form or another. Firemen in particular are suffering from high rates of occupational cancer. This year to honor family, friends and colleagues that have, or are currently fighting cancer, I have joined Team Boston Fire to ride the Pan-Mass Challenge. We will cycle more than 190 miles in two days from Sturbridge to Provincetown Massachusetts. I have a personal fund raising goal of $6,000.

The PMC donates 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to Dana-Farber and is the institute’s largest single contributor, raising more than 52 percent of the annual revenue at The Jimmy Fund. In 2017, the PMC gave a record gift of $51 million to Dana-Farber, bringing the PMC’s 38-year contribution to Dana-Farber to more than $598 million since its inception in 1980.
