Thank you for visiting my Pan-Mass Challenge fundraising page. You can make a tax-deductible donation using one of the buttons on either the right ("Donate to My Ride") or the left.
During past PMC rides, I've been startled by the hundreds of people holding signs and photos of those they knew who had battled cancer. So many people had someone who they wanted the riders to know about, someone they wanted us to ride for. Since the death of my dad, Pete, in 2011, I have a better understanding of why they do that. It's a way to fight back.
This year, I am riding the PMC in memory of Chris Spear, a good friend who passed away in February while riding his bike. Chris had just started training for his 36th Pan Mass Challenge and I know he'd want all his cycling buddies to ride for him! Chris and I not only rode together quite a bit, we roomed together on our 2015 Transcontinental ride from San Diego to Savannah.
This year, because of health challenges, I most likely cannot ride a bike on August 3 and 4. I will be doing a Reimagined PMC, most likely riding the 185 miles on the indoor trainer in my basement. I also intend to help out in a repair van during the actual ride. At this point, it's all I can do to support the PMC and I hope I can count on your support in this unusual year.
Please help Dana Farber with their important work for Chris and so many others by sponsoring me in my 185-mile Reimagined ride on August 3 and 4, 2023. I'll make the effort to train and ride and do whatever else I can, but I need your help to reach my fundraising goal. Please make a tax-deductible contribution to Dana Farber in whatever amount you can. I need and appreciate any support you can give, but the patients with cancer need it more. On behalf of myself and them, thank you very much!
