The PMC has been a constant through many stages of my life. In 1992, as young, fit 28-year-old, intrigued by the physical challenge of such a long ride, I grabbed an old bike from my garage, raised $510 and participated in my first ride. Later in 2002, recently divorced and looking for a positive outlet and worthy goal, a friend convinced me to ride it again with him and his brother. Later in my 50s, after my endless PMC talk, my wife joined me in 2014 and for the next 9 years that became a common interest we did together. After twenty-four rides, I still participate in this yearly physical and fundraising challenge, now with a $6000 minimum financial commitment. Although I ride other events and contribute to other worthy causes, the PMC is an exceptional cause I have endeared most of my adult life. The riders, the fundraisers and the sponsors are a high energy, committed community dedicated to finding a way to eradicate the pain and suffering of cancer. The PMC is unique in that 100 percent of every rider raised dollar goes directly to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

The Pan-Mass Challenge is the #3 peer-to-peer fundraiser in the country, according to the 2023 US Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Top 30 list. This year is particularly special because funds raised by the PMC will exceed $1 Billion since 1980 with significant impact to Cancer.
