This year, over the first weekend of August, I am dedicating my nearly 200-mile ride over two days to Paul Shaw, who we lost to blood cancer.
Paul, affectionately known as Poppy, was the beloved father of my brothers-in-law, David and Alan Shaw. Poppy was a wonderful dad, the cherished patriarch of the Shaw family, and a beloved grandpa. He was a darn good fantasy football player too!
Since last year, many of us have likely experienced another friend or family member battling cancer. In honor of all our dear friends and family who have faced cancer, who will you honor this year?
