We are back and better than ever! After sitting out of the PMC last year due to a broken ankle, I couldn't be more excited to bike 186 miles again. I'm riding in my third Pan Mass Challenge, and this year feels extra special. This spring marks five years since my melanoma diagnosis. Five years ago, my dad and I were living together during Covid and recovering from our own cancer diagnoses. The five year milestone is significant because I now have a lower risk profile, and I get to spend less time at the doctor's office. The only thing that can stop me now is another rope swing (too soon?).

I grew up watching my dad participate in the PMC, and I knew I wanted to do it myself after we recovered from cancer together. There are plenty of other reasons to love the PMC though. The Pan Mass Challenge raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. The PMC has raised over one billion dollars for cancer research, and every rider-raised dollar goes directly to the cause.

Being part of this is one of my favorite things, and I can only do this because I have so many supportive people in my corner. Support can take many forms. Send me all your good vibes!
