I'm excited and daunted at the prospect of my second Pan Mass ride this coming August! This two-day, 200-mile bike ride is a chance to be part of a great event raising money to support progress in finding a cure for cancer.
Doctors appointments, diagnosis, painful choices, physical pain, treatment, families shaken to the core. One moment we are untouched, and the next it consumes us.
In my first ride in 2018, I was inspired to ride after losing my stepfather Tom Herren and a dear friend, JP. This past year, two remarkable women, my mother-in-law, Helen Rabin, and cousin, Allison Herren, were both taken by cancer, and I'm continuing the journey. It's a small but meaningful step to be part of a solution with amazing people motivated to do the same. (Linda! Kristen! Manika! Prashant! Warren! and a few thousand more :)
The Pan Mass Challenge is a positive effort to make a difference. Proceeds from this event and others are already making a tremendous impact. Progress is being made.
Please join me in doing what we can to make a difference. In previous years 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's commitment to finding a cure. I'm grateful for any support you can give.
