Hi Everyone,
Hard to believe, but this will be my 9th PMC and my 10th year of managing multiple myeloma. Riding the PMC is the most direct contribution I can make to controlling and ultimately curing myeloma and many other cancers.
That is where all of you come in. I continue to be touched by the annual generosity of friends and family supporting my ride.
Our team, Kick’n Asphalt, will once again hit the road raising money for The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, specifically allocating our fundraising to Dr. Paul Richardson's multiple myeloma research.
As always, I am incredibly grateful for the annual response this email receives, and any support you can give is so appreciated.
A quick update on my health. All is well - pretty much status quo for the year. I continue to receive chemo each month and monitor my numbers. The important and encouraging news is that when I need new treatments - and the nature of myeloma ensures that I will - there are series of new and advanced treatments in the pipeline that can be brought to bear when the time comes. This pipeline is driven in no small part by events like the PMC and through donors like all of you!
My key message remains the same – your support moves the goal posts in real time. For myeloma and so many other cancers staying ahead of the disease is crucial, and that’s why supporting the incredible work being done at Dana Farber and similar institutions is so important.
To that end, I am seeking your support for this year’s PMC. Again, thanks everyone for your historic support, together over the 8 years I have ridden the PMC, we have raised nearly $200,000.
Please support Dana Farber and I look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
Every donation brings us closer by the mile.
Thank you,
Josh
