I feel so incredibly lucky and privileged to be able to participate in the Pan Mass Challenge and ride 163 miles to raise $6,000 in full support of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. I'll be riding with my husband Andrew along with my dad, who will be riding in his 21st PMC!! (His rides are old enough to legally drink, ha) We'll also be joining some of Andrew's family on day two! A true family affair united by the same goal of eradicating cancer. With loved ones still fighting cancer, we must keep riding and raising money!

If you’re not familiar with the PMC, it’s a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. 100% of all fundraising dollars go to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research.

It’s insane that in the US about 2 million people are diagnosed with cancer annually, and though there are some wonderful treatments available, it isn’t enough. We have to continue to develop means for prolonging life and quality of life when given a cancer diagnosis, and ultimately find cures for all!!! With over 1,100 active clinical trials and the development of so many therapies and treatments, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has helped countless patients, including some of our family and friends!

PMC is making a difference in the lives of patients at Dana-Farber and around the world. The funds we raise support the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases. Dana-Farber is one of the top three cancer institutions in the world, and over the last 10 years, has helped develop nearly one in four FDA-approved cancer drugs in the US.
