Yes, I am in training for the Pan Mass Challenge this August. I plan to ride 190 miles on my bicycle from Sturbridge to Provincetown as I have 16 out of the last 17 years to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and I am asking for your support.
Each year I ask myself if I should ride the PMC again. Yes, it is important. And yes, together we make a difference. When the thought crosses my mind not to participate, there is always an important, meaningful reason that presents itself in a convincing way. This year, yet another close friend is battling cancer and multiple surgeries later, her health is improving. I know the successful treatments were made possible by the research funding we provide for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I know it is the right decision for me to do this again with the support of so many friends, family and colleagues.
I know writing a letter is old school, but there are many donation options both old school and technology based. You can send a check to my address above, made out to PMC, The Jimmy Fund.
