Why I Ride ...
Hi Everyone,
This summer, I will be participating in my 16th Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). Hard to believe! What started out as a great excuse to do some weekend rides and get out of NYC has turned into an annual tradition and I can't imagine August without the PMC.
Founded in 1980, the PMC is the nation's original fundraising bike-a-thon and today raises more money than any other athletic fundraising event in the country. The ride takes place over two days, and spans 192 miles from Sturbridge to Provincetown in Massachusetts. Last year, over 5,000 cyclists contributed $35 million to the Jimmy Fund. The PMC has contributed almost $500 million to lifesaving cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since its inception. This is why I'm asking for your help.
You can donate by either mailing me a check made out the Pan Mass Challenge or by using a credit card online. Simply log on to: https://www.pmc.org/egifts/giftinfo .asp?EgiftID=IO0002
Many companies also have matching donations programs that may be an option for you too. Please know that no donation is too small, and all will be greatly appreciated!
Remember that all donations to the PMC are tax deductible.
I truly believe somewhere along the road between Sturbridge and Provincetown lies a cure for cancer. You can help us find it.
Thank you very much for all your support.
