Everyone knows someone. It could be a friend, a coworker, someone in your family. For cancer, it does not matter. What percentage of us have received this news in the last 12 months? More than we can stomach, more than I can.

This year, cancer is hitting home to our family, like many others, more so than it has in a long while. It makes me realize why I ride, why I ask for your donation without any reservation, why I will ride and raise money until I am physically unable to.

Team Turk rides again for our 12th straight year, and my 14th year in a row! This event gives so much hope to everyone in the cancer community, hopefully that we can buy time for a cure. 100% of every rider raised dollar goes directly to the cause. I have committed to raise over $4000, with a goal of $6000 this year.

Some facts:

• Since 1980, the PMC has raised over $1.05 Billion for Dana Farber Cancer Institute
• Last year the PMC raised and contributed $75 million for DFCI
• Team Turk has raised over $160,000 all time
