Why I Ride ...
Fourteen years ago, I rode the PMC for the first time in honor of my grandmother Roselynn Randazzo. It was a life changing experience for me to see so many come together to support such an important cause; but in 2010 other than the loss of my grandmother cancer felt far away. Unfortunately, over the past few years, cancer has hit closer to home. I made the decision to ride this year after the loss of my wife’s aunt, Mary O’Connor, who died in April 2023 and friend Betsy Schreuer who passed away at the start of 2024; both after courageous battles against cancer. I also ride to keep up the fight for all those who are currently fighting cancer including my brother-in-law Jeff Hubbard who has been courageously battling now for many months.
I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure. I have joined Team Duncan and will be proud to ride side by side with several of my close friends including Margie Vasquez who is a cancer survivor. I appreciate your support to continue the work to end this terrible disease.
