You have cancer – words nobody ever wants to hear. Unfortunately, I just recently had to hear them. It’s hard. I was with Cindy a few years ago when she heard them. It was hard. I recently lost a friend to cancer and, unfortunately, have several people close to me that are battling it right now as well. After a very close friend, Jim Yearick, was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer in 2019, I decided to join him on the Pan Mass Challenge bike ride in Boston last year. It is an incredible event that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country, giving over $50M a year to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in cancer treatment and research. Jim and a group of buddies have been riding it for years and raising money for Dana-Farber. It was that same Dana-Farber Institute that saved his life and he is cancer free today due to the amazing work they do. Well, I’m doing the ride again this year, but now I’m the one with cancer so it’s even more personal. Fortunately, my cancer is treatable due to advances made by the great people at places like Dana-Farber. I would like to ask for your support this year as I ride for myself and for everyone else battling this terrible disease. Please donate.
