Your donation will directly reach Dr. Lewis Silverman and his team at Dana Farber who are developing the most cutting edge techniques for fighting leukemia, leading to improved patient health. Recent acheivements include:
· The validation of the IKAROS gene marker as a strong prognostic indicator of a leukemia relapse,
· Creation of a clinical test to assess the IKAROS gene condition in new patients when they are first evaluated at Dana Farber (before any treatments)
· LAUNCH of the VERY FIRST IKAROS gene marker test into production at Dana Farber for pediatric leukemia patients (launched: February 2017)!

(This will benefit patient health by enabling an oncologist to alter treatment plans based on IKAROS gene tests within 10 days of testing)
