I will be riding in the 2025 Pan-Mass Challenge in honor of my father, Richard Gloster, and to continue his legacy of participating in this incredible event.

At just 18 years old, my father was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and given only a 20% chance of survival. He endured an excruciating regimen of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. But with unwavering determination, he defied the odds and remained cancer-free for over 40 years.

Then, after a fluke accident, my family received the devastating news we never expected- my father had Stage 4 lung cancer. Despite his diagnosis, my dad and I completed the 2023 PMC together and were registered to ride again in 2024. Tragically, he passed away before we had the chance. Now, I cannot think of a better way to honor his memory than by riding and raising money to find a cure for cancer so that another family doesn't have to endure the grief and loss that mine has.

Every person has a story of how cancer has touched their life. That's why I am proud to ride in the PMC, which is leading the charge to defeat this disease. Every penny of rider-raised revenue goes directly to the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, whose relentless commitment to finding a cure changes lives. Patients at DFCI receive cutting-edge treatments and unparalleled care- something my family experienced firsthand. I will forever be grateful to DFCI for giving me three extra years with my father after his diagnosis.

The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single athletic event in the country. Since 1980, it has raised over $900 million and is expected to surpass the $1 billion mark in 2024. This success is powered by people riding for and believing in a cure. I have set a goal of raising $11,000 this year, and I'm asking for your support in reaching it.
