I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
It is a sad reality that we will all have to come face to face with cancer in our lifetime. Whether it is directly, or someone in your family or a co-worker, everyone at some point will be affected. Being a firefighter in Boston, cancer is something we have all unfortunately become a custom to. It has ended careers to early, retirement too short, and impacted families for a lifetime.
My team and I of fellow firefighters, veterans, and athlete's are proud to ride for those who have been lost to cancer, and who continue to fight this terrible disease every day! This is my 7th year riding in the PMC and Team Boston Fire has raised over $500,000 in total!!! I am super excited for another year and hope to continue our march towards a million dollars raised!!!
I have never been one to ask for donations, but this is for a truly amazing cause that I whole heartedly support. I understand that not everyone is able to donate, but no amount is too small. Any little bit helps, and is greatly appreciated!
