Riding for family and friends
I was first introduced to cancer when my younger brother Timmy, 3 years old, was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. Treatments included radiation and drugs - both painful for Timmy and his brothers and sisters who missed having their gregarious brother available to play. Prayer and medicine were not enough; Timmy passed away when he was 8 years old. Since then, he has touched my life in miraculous ways.
Over the past several years, many friends and family members have battled cancer. We are riding in the PMC to honor all who have fought cancer, and to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's commitment to finding a cure.
