When I started riding in the Pan Mass Challenge 14 years ago, I thought that I would make the ride once in memory of my sister Robin. Her fighting spirit as she battled melanoma inspired me to take on this challenge to ride 200 miles and raise money for cancer research at Dana Farber. Here I am 13 years later, riding on.
Though Robin lost her battle with cancer, I have followed my passion which led me to my purpose to make a commitment to fight cancer by supporting Dana-Farber. Each year I meet more people who had been successfully treated at Dana-Farber. I also unfortunately have more reasons to ride for those being diagnosed with cancer. Therefore, I ride. I ride because it is a way, I can fight cancer. My bike and I will be crushing cancer again this year!
Today I registered and made my commitment to ride in the PanMass Challenge. Over the last 14 years my donors have raised over $65,000! In 2021 on the heels of Covid, PMCers were back on the road again and we raised a record breaking $64 Million dollars to support this life saving research, drug development and treatments, at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. On August 6 and 7 we will take to the roads through 32 towns in Massachusetts, getting closer by the mile to finding cures. Please support me by donating.
