Why I Ride in the PMC- David Jasukonis
--------------
Hi Everyone,
Summer 2025 I will be riding in my fourth Pan-Mass Challenge, to continue raising money for finding a cure for cancer. My participation is in loving memory of my father, David M. Jasukonis Sr, who passed away from lung cancer on December 9th, 1999. At the young age of 42 my dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, and was informed he had about a year to live. Less than 6 months after that diagnosis cancer took his life, changing my life forever. This year I will be also riding in loving memory of my mother, Dottie, who passed away in April 2021. She had the biggest heart and was always so dedicated to all of the PMC events and truly had a passion for what it stands for. She was always at the finish line no matter what. I know that my mom and dad are together again and will be waiting for me at the finish line together.
It is not a matter of if but rather a matter of when we will find the cure for this monstrous disease. For this reason I have committed to raising $6,000 by October, as all the proceeds go directly towards trying to find a cure for cancer through the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Please consider donating any amount if possible to this great cause to help find a cure & beat cancer once and for all! Cash can be sent via check made out to David Jasukonis or Venmo.
Thanks for your support,
David M. Jasukonis Jr.
