I am a proud sponsor of the Pan Mass Challenge's efforts to raise money for cancer research. I’ve been participating in the event now for almost 10 years, and, together with my wife Becca Licht and her family, have raised ~$300k for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and are targeting $40k this year as a family.

The PMC is the largest athletic fundraising event in the country, and represents over 50% of annual funding for the Jimmy Fund (Dana Farber Cancer Institute). This year it has a goal of $78mm, and has donated over $1bn to cancer research in total. And best of all, thanks to corporate sponsorships, 100% of riders donations go directly to Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

As I’m sure it has for many of you, cancer has affected my family directly, taking the life of my grandmother with whom I was very close. And when Becca’s mother was diagnosed with lymphoma several years ago, the CEO of the PMC personally helped her get appointments with top doctors. She’s been in remission for almost 5 years.
