Why I Ride ...
Cancer is a deeply personal issue for me, as many of my family and friends have been affected by this relentless disease. Watching their battles and the toll it takes on them has inspired me to take action. By raising funds for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, I aim to support research that can lead to better treatments, early detection, and ultimately a cure. The pain and suffering endured by my loved ones drive my commitment to this cause, fueling my determination to contribute to a future where cancer no longer robs people of their health and happiness. Through collective efforts and generous support, we can all make a significant impact, bringing hope and relief to those fighting this formidable enemy.
During my journey training for the Pan-Mass Challenge and searching for a bike, I met an incredible woman selling her husband's bike. He had recently passed away from glioblastoma. At that moment, I knew I had found my bike. I am honored to ride in his memory and in honor of all my family and friends affected by cancer.
