Dear Friends and Family,
On August 6th and 7th, I will be riding 192 miles, from Sturbridge to Provincetown, in the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC). I will be riding with 5,500 other cyclists in the PMC bike-a-thon that raises money for life-saving cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. This will be my sixth year participating in the event.
Each year, with the help of many generous friends and family, I have been able to reach my fundraising goal of $6,000 and be a part in this truly life-changing experience. What inspired me to ride again wasn’t the thrill of crossing the finish line, but the encouragement of the whole Pan Mass community. It was the energy of my amazing teammates, dedicated volunteers, enthusiastic spectators cheering throughout the route, and the genuine gratitude of survivors I met along the way.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country. Since 1980 it has raised over $500 million for cancer research and treatment at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund. The PMC donates 100% of every rider-raised dollar directly to the cause.
To take part in this event, I need to raise a minimum of $6,000 and am asking for your help in achieving this goal. Donations are tax deductible and may be made online at http://www.pmc.org/profile/CC0309
If you prefer to write a check, please make it out to the PMC, The Jimmy Fund or Dana Farber Cancer Institute and mail them to:
