I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
From my first PMC ride in 2003, after losing our grandfather to prostate cancer, I knew I was part of something special. Something that would actually make a difference. Each one of us knows someone who has been impacted by cancer; fighters, survivors, family members, friends... each one a warrior.
We ride the long roads and hills with names on our backs giving us strength to keep pushing. Then we see the faces of those warriors on poster boards or holding signs along the route. It hits you like a ton of bricks and you feel grateful and also more motivated than ever to keep going, for our bodies, although sore and tired, are healthy and able and we are enduring NOTHING compared to those faced with treatments. It is our dream to see a world where cancer is no longer. The PMC is making BILLION DOLLAR strides to make sure that gets done and your donations, big or small, are helping. This ride is like no other and it is an honor to be riding again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the love and support. Let's do this!!
