I can't go on assuming that my health is going to be a given. I have to force myself to acheive a goal that improves my health in anyway possible. A troupe of really great clinicians and surgeons recently intervened and caught something in me that was said "could kill me in under three years". It's scary how fast things go from zero to 60. You may already know how this feels. One moment you think everything is fine and then, it's not. I'm lucky to have caught my cardiac problem early, while I'm still "young" and in good health otherwise but I know it could have been worse, so much worse for my family.

I'm riding in the PMC because this is what I need to do but this is not about me. This is about you helping so many people who are going through something so terrible that we all want to forget could quite likely happen to any of us. Cancer is relentles and a committment to the research and care needed to cure all forms of it must be 10 times as tenacious.
