Why I Ride ...
May 2017:
I am taking 2017 off from the PMC. I need to be with our girls and don't have Steve with me anymore to help with taking care of the kids and driving them to the Family Finish... and no one to do fun things with the family when it's all done. When I ride again, I will be riding in memory of Steve, who fought gallbladder cancer for over a year and just died in April, 2017. The girls will be old enough to join me in a few years and we will be doing the ride for Dad. Good luck, riders. I'll be there with you in spirit! Thank you for riding.

2014 letter:
This is my 9th year riding the PMC. I rode my first PMC in 2001, the year after Mom died of breast cancer, and have ridden every year since, except for the two years I was pregnant.
As always, I ride for Mom and wish she could be here with us today to see our beautiful girls and to share a laugh and a hug with. I also will ride for other friends and family who have been touched by or lost their lives to cancer. It's everywhere, but when I ride the PMC, I feel hopeful. I know that, together, we can make a difference and that we will one day cure this dreadful disease.
I'm excited to be working to raise funds for cancer research. Last year I raised over $6,000 and this year I'd like to try for $7000. I need your support to reach my goal. Please make a donation and type in my eGift ID (BP0053) so that it counts towards my fundraising.
With your help, there will one day be a cure for cancer and we will no longer have to lose our loved ones to this insidious disease.
