Hello friends and family,
I hope all is well and you are all enjoying this long Fourth of July weekend. Next month I will be riding in my second Pan Mass Challenge. Last year was my first adventure with the PMC and it did not disappoint. It was an amazing experience, and I immediately knew that I would be back this year for more. The PMC offers a variety of routes for riders to take, and last year I did the classic two day ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown. This year I have decided to do the Wellesley Century, which is a 100 mile loop on Sunday, August 4th. I am back with the same team of amazing riders, which has grown since last year, and we are all doing different routes so am looking forward to broadening the reach of our team's impact. Since riding last year I've met multiple people through the PMC and the riders, and to this day (this morning actually...) I still meet and talk with people while riding who have done the PMC or are involved.
Everyone I know has been impacted by cancer in some shape or form. Family, friends, colleagues, former colleagues, everyone. It does not discriminate, and it does not stop. Over the past year I have unfortunately heard of more diagnoses, however more stories of survival as well. Some of the stories I heard during the PMC last year and people I met (including two members of our team who are living proof survivors) made it so clear to me the amazing impact that the Dana Farber organization has on this disease, and how my support can help.
My personal fundraising campaign is officially underway. If you are not familiar, the PMC is an annual bike-a-thon to raise money for cancer research. Thank you VERY MUCH to everyone who contributed to my ride last year. My goal this year is to raise at least $3,000 with 100% of the money raised going directly to cancer research. If you are able, I would appreciate your support in reaching my goal. Any amount you are able to give will go a long way in supporting the cause. Please see the links below.
Thank you very much for your support and have a great rest of the summer!
Brian
