Why I Ride ...
I look forward to hitting the road in August to ride the PMC again; while I briefly entertained starting in Sturbridge I will once again be at the Wellesley start! I will be startign my 9th year at Dana Farber in the summer having come from the Air Force in 2016 - the advances we have seen in cancer care during that time has been extraordinary but there is so much more to do. Once unthinkable we are potentially curing patients with metstatic cancer through novel approaches but these cures are all to rare. I am riding to honor those who have trusted me in the past 15 years as they faced cancer; while many have not been cured similar to what the doctors were able to do for my father when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia over 35 years ago, I will work tirelessly to change that in and outside clinic collaborating with scientists across the glob to find the right treatment for the right patient at each stage of their journey.
