In memory of Marcia... CANCER ABSOLUTELY SUCKS AND I AM OVER IT! Our family is forever changed after the loss of my incredible mother in-law last year. I used to say that I ride because I can, now my motivation is fueled by anger, frustration and grief. As a nurse, I see the effects of cancer every single day. I am beyond blessed to have my health, and I do not take this for granted. I have watched countless friends and family members struggle to navigate their way through a devastating cancer diagnosis. This year has been particularly brutal as mulitple friends are currently facing the battle and unfortunately, we have lost more than one beautiful soul way too young. I NEVER want anyone to watch a loved one suffer. I ride the PMC because I know that 100% of the money that I raise goes directly to Dana Farber. It isn’t easy to train or to raise thousands of dollars every year! I know that I can be a nag, but it is totally worth it if even one person benefits from my efforts. I am proud to be part of a community that is working relentlessly toward finding a cure! 10+ years and counting! Closer by the mile!
