We proudly announce our THIRTY-SEVENTH year (2024) of participation with the PMC and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund.
The end of the school year/beginning of summer holds a handful of traditions for the Carver Family, and fundraising for the PMC is a 37 year tradition for us. The PMC, among a million other things, gives all of us a moment to pause and remember the people in our lives who have been impacted by cancer - those who have recovered, those in treatment, and those we have all lost.
This is the ONE IN A BILLION year. It's a big one. This is the year total fundraising for the now 45 year old PMC will cross the $1,000,000,000 mark. And if you're wondering, when we started with the PMC in 1988, the total fundraising had just crossed the cumulative $1.5 million dollar mark.
The PMC and its mission have remained constant for all of us, now 37 years strong for the Carver Team, 45 years strong for the event itself. Raise money for cancer, get out and ride as a celebration of the togetherness of the entire cancer community - the riders, the friends, the families, the sponsors. On August 3-4, over 6,000 riders and 4,000 volunteers will take to the streets and ride ride routes between 25-192 miles. Along the way, we will offer and receive countless expressions of gratitude for each individual's part in this endeavor.
This year, 2024, Brian Carver (37th year) will represent the Caver Team on the road for the 2-day, 192-mile ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown. Our volunteer squad of Dan Carver (photographer), and Rob and Donna Carver (Mass Maritime Academy “schleppers”), will also be in action!
Whether you are able to make a donation this year or not, and if so, whether the amount is the same as previous years or not, we recognize how much our participation in the PMC means to so many of you. We will continue to be out there representing all of you, always with the hope that someday our efforts will help lead to a cure.
This is a family fundraising endeavor, and though the Carver Team sends one rider to road and a small crew of volunteers to the course, we are all all-in.

In 2023, Carver Team fundraising totaled $10,943.29.
Since 1988, thanks to all of you, we have raised a total of $354,145.57.

In 2023, the PMC raised $72,000,000
Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972,000,000.
