Year 9 — Let’s Ride!
I’m proud to support the Pan-Mass Challenge because it’s leading the charge to beat cancer. With your incredible generosity, I’ve been fortunate to raise over $65,000 over the last 8 years — every dollar going toward Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s mission to treat and cure cancer. Together with thousands of other riders, we’ve contributed to the PMC’s staggering total of over $1 billion raised to date.
Last year, I completed the full 187-mile ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown for the first time — and it was unforgettable. This year marks the final time that iconic route will be offered, and I couldn’t pass up the chance to ride it again. I’m beyond grateful for your continued support.
Cancer has touched all of our lives. I ride in memory of my mom, Elaine Bates, who passed away in 2003 after a courageous 9-year battle with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I also ride for the many others in my life who have been affected by cancer, past and present. My mother continues to inspire me every day — her strength, empathy, and love are qualities I strive to carry forward. Riding in her honor each year is deeply meaningful to me, and it’s only possible because of the love and support of friends like you.
The PMC raises more for charity than any other single athletic event in the country — $72 million in 2023 alone — and 100% of rider-raised donations go directly to Dana-Farber. When you contribute, you're funding the leading edge of cancer research and care at one of the world’s top cancer centers. Every dollar truly makes a difference.
