Why I Ride ... In Memory of Dad
I ride in honor of my Dad, Yong Wang, who passed away in 2022 at age 52 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. His incredible joy for life and his strength continues inspiring us. He wanted to ride the PMC and contribute to pancreatic cancer research in his remaining time with us, and I want to honor his legacy. My Mom and I will both ride in his place to raise money for cancer research.
Any small amount, even 10 dollars, would go a long way towards improving the prognosis for people living with cancer.
The Coach Yong Team has grown from 2 riders in 2022 to 6 riders in 2023, and altogether we are riding over 700 miles and raising over $25,000 this year for cancer research and care. We hope to continue expanding our impact in the years to come. 100% of rider-raised revenue from the PMC goes directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
