Many of you know that I’ve been an OOFOS advocate for years, and recently took another step to join their team as an investor. However, I’m not stopping there. I am continuing my investment by personally joining them this summer in riding the Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) – a 200mi bike ride across Massachusetts - with other members of the OOFOS team.
This is a personal step, both for them and for me. You see, OOFOS began riding in the PMC and raising money for patient care and cancer research back in 2015 when their first employee, Duncan Finigan, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. The company's response was to support her through their Project Pink program – whose fundraising efforts that have donated over $3.4M dollars to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to-date. Many of them – from the CEO to Customer Care - also personally took on the individual challenge each year presented by fundraising and riding in the PMC. I’ve been so inspired by not only their corporate commitment, but personal involvement, that I decided to join their efforts this year.
The past year has made this effort personal for me too. So, while I may be riding the PMC to challenge myself physically this August - MORE IMPORTANTLY, I’ll be fundraising to help raise money to further cancer research. I’d love for you to join me in this effort by contributing to my ride.
Thank yOO in advance for your support of this effort and the future good it will do! - Alex S.
