I ride for my mother, Susan Stover, who is being treated for a blood cancer at Dana Farber. She underwent a stem cell transplant in December of 2024, and continues her journey to recovery.
The whole process of watching her receive her new cells, from a donor somewhere on the other side of the world, was quite profound and amazing. Not to mention the incredible care that she has received from all of the doctors and nurses in her time leading up to the transplant, during her lengthy and intense hospital stay, and as she navigates the winding road to recovery. This entire experience has inspired me to ride in the PMC (for a second time since 2007), to continue the improtant groundbreaking and lifesaving cancer research performed by Dana Farber. As cancer rates rise and funding for research and clinical trials is cut, I feel it is as important as ever to help fund this cause.
Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has raised $1 billion for lifesaving cancer research, treatment and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country's top cancer care hospitals. My fundraising will make a difference in the lives of patients, not only at Dana-Farber, but all around the world, by supporting the innovative work of doctors, nurses, and scientists in their search for cures for cancers and related diseases.
100 percent of every dollar I raise goes directly to Dana-Farber, meaning that your donation has a real impact! Please donate to my PMC fundraising and help me reach my fundraising goal.
