Hello PMC Supporters,

The 2025 Pan-Mass Challenge is fast approaching—taking place on August 2nd and 3rd—and once again, I’ll be riding with Team BrainStorms in honor of the incredibly brave 9-year-old Declan Vail, who continues his fight against pediatric brain cancer.

I’m always humbled by your support—many of you donate before I even ask, and for that I am truly grateful. Last year, the PMC reached a monumental milestone: $1 billion raised for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute over its lifetime. But the need doesn’t stop there. Recent cuts in cancer research funding have made your generosity more important than ever.

Each year, half of my fundraising goes to the general PMC fund, while the other half supports research into pediatric brain cancer, specifically PLGGs with FGFR1 mutations—the kind Declan is courageously battling. Despite undergoing another difficult and ultimately unsuccessful surgery this year, Declan continues chemotherapy and confronts daily challenges with extraordinary resilience and strength. He inspires us all to keep pushing forward.

Instead of hosting our annual yard pottery sale, I’ll be donating the proceeds from my work at this year’s Lydia Pinkham Open Studios, held on Saturday and Sunday, November 23–24. I’ll send out a reminder closer to the date, and I hope to see many of you there.

This year, I ride in memory of Barb Tobin Pelletier, a longtime PMC supporter and beautiful soul, who passed away this past December. Back in 1997, it was Barb’s sister Beth who inspired me to ride in my first PMC. I continue to ride in honor of those we’ve lost, the survivors among us, and those still fighting.
