The 2025 Pan Mass Challenge will take place on Aug. 2nd & 3rd.
Since 1980, the Pan Mass Challenge has raised an unprecedented $1 billion for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I'm a proud supporter of the PMC because it is leading a charge to beat cancer. In fact, last year 100% of rider-raised revenue went directly to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's tireless commitment to finding a cure.
This will be my second time doing the PMC! I will be riding from Wellesley to Provincetown over two days for a total of 162 miles. This is small challenge compared to fighting cancer. Too many people close to me have been impacted by cancer and this was one way that I could raise money in their honor to find a cure.
Once again, I will be riding with Team BrainStorms in honor of Declan Vail, the incredibly brave 8-year-old who is in treatment at Dana Farber. Half of the money I raise this year will go into the general PMC fund for breast cancer research and the rest will support research for pediatric brain cancer, in hopes of find a cure for Declan and other kids with PLGGs with an FGFR1 mutation (his type of Brain Tumor). The research team is using a piece of Declan's tumor that was removed to test out new targeted meds.
Having lost my Mom, my Uncle Peter and my childhood friend, Alison, to cancer, I wanted to ride in their honor and help raise money to end cancer. Alison loved an extreme athletic challenge and this seemed like a great way to honor her memory. No time to waste!
Thank you for your support!!
