This year, I will be riding in my 18th PMC in memory of several people. First, I am riding in memory of my partner's mom, Amelia Moffie, who passed away on January 17, 2025, just 6 days shy of her 90th birthday. Amelia was a breast cancer survivor and also lived over three years with lymphoma, in part because of treatment at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. I'm also riding in memory of my sister Edy (pictured) who passed away from brain cancer in July 2002; Edy's late husband, Ed McNulty, who passed away from throat cancer in 2020; Ed's brother and Edy's brother-in-law, Joe McNulty, a loving husband and father of four and just a great guy who also passed from cancer; Ken Levin, an incredible human being, who passed away from cancer in February 2023 after first being diagnosed in 2008 with cancer; Mart Heims, one of the kindest, warmest persons that I have ever known; Karen Krasner, who passed away from pancreatic cancer after putting up a brave struggle against this deadly form of cancer; Brad Jacobs and Alpana Kumar, fellow attorneys that I had the pleasure to practice with; and Gordon Lederman, nephew of my good friends, Aaron Cohen and Karen Andres. Finally, I'm riding in memory of our beautiful and loving companion, Livie, our dog that filled our house with warmth and love for over 14 years before she developed osteo sarcoma. Hopefully, the small effort we make to raise funds will help all those suffering from cancer.
