On August 4th, I will be riding in the 2024 Pan Mass Challenge in memory and honor of my husband, Jim, who fought a short but courageous battle against pancreatic cancer and sadly passed away in December 2022. I will ride my bike from Bourne to Provincetown (baiscally the entirety of Cape Cod!) in support of The Dana Farber Cancer Research Center. We created team “Jim’s Cape Crusaders” to carry on Jim’s love and enthusiasm for the PMC, an event he simply treasured and a cause he was greatly passionate about. The PMC encompasses so many of the things he loved so much - sport, competition, commitment, Cape Cod, bringing people together, and, most of all, a passion to root for others and a cold beer at the finish line. Despite two (very) bad knees, Jim enthusiastically completed these 80 miles in honor of his Mom and her battle with cancer. Now it’s our turn to continue his legacy and ride in HIS honor! He was so proud to be a part of such a meaningful event, and we are so grateful to be able to support a cause we are so passionate about. As a “non-biker” myself, I will be channeling his enthusiasm and spirit and know he will be cheering us on the whole way!
I appreciate any and all support!! Click the link to make a donation. Remember, 100% of funds raised will go to cancer research and finding a cure for this horrific disease. Let’s do it!
When we reach the finish line we will also be raising a glass to all of you who have been so kind and supportive since Jim's passing; we are in awe at the amount of love we have received and could not be more thankful.
