This year, I am riding in my fifth Pan Mass Challenge in a row. Tragically, all of us have been affected by cancer in some way during our lives. I choose to honor all of those who have been impacted by cancer in my life by riding in the Pan Mass Challenge and raising money each year for Dana Farber Cancer Institute. My Grammy and Grandpa both passed when I was young, causing me to not have many memories of them which has always been devastating to me. As life has continued, more and more individuals have passed and more will continue to pass due to this devastating disease. I imagine a life where we do not have to worry about cancer affecting our loved ones and like to do my small part in this fight by riding in the Pan Mass Challenge.

I am beyond grateful to have every dollar I raise during the Pan Mass Challenge matched by my incredible family up to $4,000 and also matched by the generosity of our partner, the Warren Alpert Foundation. The Warren Alpert Foundation will be matching every dollar of my team’s fundraising up to $500,000. This means if you donate your impact will be quadrupled by these matches.

The mission of the Pan-Mass Challenge is to raise money for life-saving cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. The catalyst for the fundraising effort is a bike-a-thon that crosses the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Committed cyclists, volunteers, corporate sponsors, and individual financial contributors are essential to the PMC achieving this goal. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has been increasingly successful in mobilizing the support of all these constituencies. We strive to inspire even more proponents of our cause and intend the money we raise to afford Dana-Farber's doctors and researchers the resources necessary to discover cures for all cancers.
