Cycling 192 Miles to Cure Cancer
Dear Friends,
On August 3-4 the Midnight Riders will be cycling 192 miles in the 2024 Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
The Midnight Riders were formed over 23ish years ago by David Crowe and Taylor Jacobson to join in the fight against cancer. Since the inception of the Midnight Riders we have collectively raised over $1,000,000 to help fund ground breaking research.
A few years back, we got matched up with Tre’son our pedal partner. Tre’son was diagnosed very early in his life with a rare type of cancer known as rhabdoid cancer. Thanks to the PMC and the generosity of our sponsors, today Tre’son is healthier and stronger and often joins us for training rides around Franklin Park. If you like to put a face to the money you are donating, I encourage you to check out Tre’son facebook page https://www.facebook.com/TeamTreson!
This year we are also proudly restricting our funds to support the research of Dr. Katherine Janeway, Clinical Director, Pediatric Solid Tumor Center at Dana Farber. Our teammates Joanna and Liz are riding in honor of Carter an amazing young boy who recently lost his battle with cancer. Dr. Janeway was Carter's doctor at Dana Farber and the money we raise this year will go toward funding a study in Carter's memory. To learn more about this ground breaking reserach and why we ride in the PMC year after year, check ou this PMC Impact video: second installment
If you would like to support us, you can do so using the links on the left side of the page. Your donation is tax-deductible and 100% goes directly to fund cancer research in Carter's name.
Sincerely,
The Midnight Riders
