2024 is the SEVENTH year that the Heidi's Heroes PMC team is cycling for those with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer. The money raised will directly fund pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in the lab of Dr Jennifer Chan. Pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer is a rare type of pancreatic cancer. The team captain, Heidi, has been living with this cancer and has benefitted from recent developments in treatment which slow the disase progression. Others on the team are motivated by having lost beloved spouses to this disease. Still others on the team are motivated by having lost a special person in their lives from other cancers.
