Year 6 of the Pan Mass Challenge here I come! 84 Miles from Wellesley to Bourne, and I couldn't be more excited.
Hi! My name is Skyla Rimple and I am a senior at University of Pennsylvania with a major in Urban Studies.
As the years go on, the list of who I ride for gets longer. I ride in memory of my late grandmother, Juanita (Shiela) Rimple, who passed from lung cancer on New Years Day 2023. The woman I started riding the PMC in memory of, beloved Kati Reilly, pulls me back on the saddle every August. I ride in memory of my Project 351 alum Shane McColgan from Carver, whose food pantry puts out endless good into the world. I remember the incredible late Mike McGrail, for all of his kindness, enthusiasm, and support. And, for the late Mrs. Clougher of Holbrook, who is remembered as a remarkable teacher and mentor on the South Shore.
I am a proud alum of Project 351, a statewide organization that energizes Massachusetts youth to be positive catalysts for community building and social change. For the 2020 year, I led a team of eighth grade Ambassadors in celebration of Billy and Meredith Starr, the fantastic directors of the Pan-Mass Challenge.
I hope that you will please make a donation to help fight cancer, as 100% of donations go to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. I am also the team captain for TeamProject351, so if you're interested in joining let me know!
