Unfortunately, we all have stories. Stories of people courageously battling cancer. The statistics are sobering -- 40% of us will get cancer at some point. And we are making progress with treatments and survival rates improving each year.

So, in our family the first weekend in August is reserved for the Pan Mass Challenge. Sarah, Roosevelt, and I will once again cycle 192 miles across hilly Massachusetts to raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute so they can continue their phenomenal work to fight this terrible disease. For the 12th time, it is my honor to ride wearing a very special shirt with many names on it of those who are or have battled cancer. They are the stories that inspire me to ride.

• Dana-Farber played a significant role in 51% of new FDA-approved cancer drugs in the past five years.
• 100% of your donation will go directly to Dana-Farber.
• The $75M we aim to raise this year amounts to 62% of The Jimmy Fund's revenues (D-F's fundraising arm).
