I ride in memory of my sister Susan Infante-Despo, who died from gall bladder cancer on July 28, 2016. I miss her every day, especially her loving spirit, laughing eyes, beautiful smile and all the little things that we shared together. She is our family's guiding light and guardian angel. I always ask myself, What would Sue do? in various life situations.
I ride to share her story to provide comfort and hope to others who are facing cancer.
I ride in honor of all of my family, friends and their loved ones who have braved or are continuing their own fight against cancer.
I ride for our pedal partner Maddie Carlson, daugher of fellow PMC rider Kathy Carlson, who is currently facing complications from her Ewing’s Sarcoma.
I ride because I CAN make a difference. I ride because I believe in the COLLECTIVE POWER of riding together and SAVING LIVES.
For those who want to know where the money goes - 100% of all rider donations go straight towards the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Click Here to see the impact of the $56M raised in 2018 made towards various cancers from both a treatment and research perspective.
Please join us in making a difference this year by donating to my PMC ride at http://profile.pmc.org/NS0181. Team THANKS crushed our 2018 goal by raising $86K! We can do it again with your help.
With love and gratitude for your support,
Nancy
