This year I ride alongside my beloved son Faisal (the idea to do the PMC 2024 is his) and in memory of my friend Ed Chang, a prince among men, a brilliant architect, and a person of extraordinary character and integrity. Ed was one of my favorite partners on the tennis and squash court at the Newton Squash and Tennis Club. We shared a love of racquet sports. He was the sportsman par excellence, never allowing competitiveness to get the better of him on the court, having too gentle a way about him, and too great an appreciation for the purpose and history of sport. I loved him and always treasured running into him in the clubhouse. He was one of the kindest souls you will ever meet, a great, generous, engaging conversation partner, a true mensch.
Ed passed after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer in August 2021. You can read more about him here:
