My Dad, Jim Fearon - an avid cyclist and an American - was taken by cancer 26 years ago on 4 March 1990. We miss him yet. Indeed cancer has been an unwelcome presence in all of life's journey, has taken loved ones and continues to afflict family and friends. On the other hand cycling, and New England have been the source of some of my most memorable and enjoyable moments. I decided to honour Dad's memory while also making a contribution to defeating cancer by participating in the PanMass event in August 2015. ALL rider-raised revenue goes to the Jimmy Fund and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. To read the story of how I got on in 2015, see the Facebook post here . I have decided to give it another go in 2016!
